Blogger introduces custom Favicon icon for blogger blogs - Adding a custom favicon image to a blogger blog

Blogger introduced the new custom favicon icon (a tiny image that appears in a browser's windows or tabs for a specific website/blog/page) for blogger blogs. It appeared on Blogger in draft earlier this year in June. It replaces the Blogger "B" sign and allows you to add a specific icon of your own choice to your blog. Like this,

You can add a custom favicon icon from the Design > Page Elements tab (or, from the Layout tab if you are using the New User Interface), by clicking Edit on the new Favicon tab above the Navbar element.

Choose the image (JPEG, PNG, ico, or other image file) from your PC to upload as your blog's new favicon image. After uploading click SAVE, the newly added favicon image will soon be displayed as your blog's favicon image.

Earlier blogger only allowed .ico files to be uploaded but now they have allowed to upload an image of any format, because the engine automatically converts the images of other formats to ico files. If, however, you want to make a ico file of your image then visit www.favicon.cc to make a custom favicon image file.
